Third-party records may be delayed, unavailable, incomplete, outdated or inaccurate. We do not control government offices, courts, employers, educational institutions, database providers or other external sources.

5. Verification Reports

A verification report reflects the information available within the agreed search scope at the time the check was conducted.

A report may show a result such as verified, clear, discrepancy, unable to verify, record unavailable, insufficient information or pending.

A “clear” or “verified” result does not guarantee that no undisclosed information exists. An “unable to verify” result does not automatically mean that the information is false. It may mean that records were unavailable or the relevant source did not respond.

Clients must read the complete report, including its observations and limitations, rather than relying only on summary labels or colour codes.

Our reports are intended to support decision-making. They are not guarantees of a person’s honesty, character, suitability, performance or future conduct.

Spy Verification Services does not make final hiring, rejection, promotion, termination, tenancy, lending or business decisions for clients.

The client remains responsible for:

  • Assessing whether information is relevant
  • Considering the reliability of the source
  • Allowing the verification subject to explain material discrepancies where appropriate
  • Making fair and lawful decisions
